Tideline Technologies LLC ("Tideline," "we," "our," or "us") operates Tideline PAY and Tideline Marinas. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect information about you when you use our services, visit our website, or receive messages from us on behalf of our business customers.
By using our services, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
1. Who We Are and What We Do
Tideline Technologies LLC provides two products:
- Tideline PAY — a transactional SMS service that allows service businesses to send secure payment links to their customers via text message, powered by Stripe.
- Tideline Marinas — a customer care and operational messaging service for marinas and boatyards, including after-hours intake, service request handling, scheduling updates, FAQ responses, and operational notifications.
Our messaging services are transactional and operational in nature. We do not send promotional marketing messages.
2. Information We Collect
From Business Customers (the businesses that sign up to use our services)
- Business name, address, and contact information
- Email address and phone number
- Stripe account identifiers and OAuth access tokens (for Tideline PAY)
- Payment status metadata (subscription status, plan information) — we do not collect or store card numbers or banking details
- Operational information provided during onboarding (business hours, services offered, FAQ content)
From End Users (customers of the businesses using our services)
- Phone numbers (to deliver messages)
- Message content and metadata (timestamps, delivery status, message text)
- Call recordings or transcripts, where applicable and disclosed to the end user
- Payment status metadata (e.g., whether a payment link was sent or completed) — we do not store card details or banking information
Automatically Collected
- Website usage data (pages visited, browser type, IP address, referral source) via standard server logs
- Message delivery and engagement metadata provided by our messaging infrastructure
3. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and operate the Tideline PAY and Tideline Marinas services
- To send transactional and operational SMS messages on behalf of our business customers
- To process payments and manage subscriptions
- To configure, support, and improve our services
- To maintain records for compliance and audit purposes
- To communicate with business customers about their accounts
- To detect and prevent fraud or unauthorized use
4. Information We Share
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes at any time. Mobile opt-in data and consent records are never sold, rented, or shared with any third party for marketing purposes.
We share information only as described below:
Service Providers
- Twilio Inc. — our SMS and voice messaging infrastructure provider. Message content and phone numbers are processed through Twilio's platform to deliver messages. Twilio's privacy policy is available at twilio.com/legal/privacy.
- Stripe Inc. — our payment processing infrastructure. Payment-related data is processed through Stripe. Stripe's privacy policy is available at stripe.com/privacy.
- Hosting and infrastructure providers — we use third-party hosting services to operate our platform. These providers may process data on our behalf under appropriate data processing agreements.
- Google LLC — we use Google Workspace for internal operations and Google Sheets for certain data management functions.
Legal Requirements
We may disclose information if required to do so by law, court order, or governmental authority, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Tideline Technologies, our customers, or others.
Business Transfers
In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify affected users before information is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
5. SMS Messaging and Mobile Data
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes at any time. This includes phone numbers, opt-in consent records, and any other mobile data collected through our SMS programs.
If you receive SMS messages through our platform (either as a business customer or as an end user of a business using our services), the following applies:
- Message frequency varies depending on the service and your activity. For Tideline PAY, end users receive one SMS per transaction.
- Message and data rates may apply based on your mobile carrier plan
- To opt out of messages, reply STOP to any message you receive. You will receive a confirmation and no further messages will be sent.
- To request help or information, reply HELP. You will receive program information and support contact details.
- To re-subscribe after opting out, reply START
- Opting out will stop further messages from that specific sender. Contact jack@tidelinetech.com for additional assistance.
- Mobile phone numbers and consent data are collected solely for the purpose of delivering transactional and operational SMS messages as described in this policy. They are never used for marketing purposes and are never shared with or sold to any third party for marketing or promotional use.

6. Data Retention
We retain business customer account information for the duration of the business relationship and for a reasonable period thereafter to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.
Message metadata and content logs are retained for operational and compliance purposes. We periodically review and delete data that is no longer necessary.

7. Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information we hold, including use of encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), access controls, and reliance on security-certified third-party infrastructure providers (Twilio, Stripe, Google). However, no system is completely secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Children's Privacy
Our services are not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.
9. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information, including the right to access, correct, or delete your data. To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at jack@tidelinetech.com. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
