Opt-In Method — Verbal Consent at Time of Service

The sole opt-in method used by businesses on Tideline PAY

Verbal Consent

When a customer provides their phone number to a service business, staff reads the following disclosure verbally before any SMS is sent:

Full verbal disclosure — read to end user at time of opt-in

"By providing your phone number, you agree to receive an SMS payment request from [Business Name] powered by Tideline PAY by Tideline Technologies LLC. You will receive one SMS per transaction containing a secure payment link. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time. Reply HELP for help. Terms: tidelinetech.com/terms · Privacy: tidelinetech.com/privacy"

Condensed staff script for in-person use:

Staff: "Can I get a good number to text your payment to? You will receive one text from Tideline PAY with a secure payment link when the job is done. Message frequency is one message per transaction. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help."

Customer: Verbally confirms and provides phone number.

Customer provides phone number in person or by phone to the service business

Business Attestation at Signup

How Tideline PAY enforces consent requirements on all participating businesses

Every business that signs up for Tideline PAY must check a consent checkbox during signup. The exact text of the checkbox is:

"I confirm that I will only send payment links to customers who have provided their phone number and consented to receive SMS messages from my business. I understand that customers can reply STOP to opt out at any time. Message & data rates may apply."

Businesses that violate these consent requirements are subject to immediate account termination per Tideline PAY's Terms of Service.
